The Investigation of Mountain Mikes Pizza
Jeff Liotard, the owner of Mountain Mike's Pizza located in Manteca California, approached CGC about an unusual occurrence that happened one evening. He walked into his office and found a man standing there, but it wasn't a man! Jeff Liotard said "the apparition disappeared as soon as I opened the door and It scared the crap out of me!" He believes it was the apparition of the previous owner Garth Adams, who died after selling the restaurant. Jeff asked California Ghost Chasers to come in and do an investigation. CGC scheduled the investigation of Mountain Mikes Pizza January 19th 2011. After reviewing the evidence what we found was not Garth, but an unknown entity calling himself David.
Listen to the EVPs captured at Mountain Mike's Pizza
EVP1: If your not Garth can you please give us your name? What is your name? (Dave)
EVP2: If it's not Garth that's here please give us your name? (I'm David)
EVP3: What side did you like sit on this side that I'm on? (This Side) Or the other side?
EVP4: How old are you? (Sixty)
EVP5: What's the last thing you remember David? (A Kiss)
The Manteca Bulletin, our local newspaper, ran an article about the investigation and asked if anyone might know who the spirit of David could be. Our case manager received a lead from the article saying that "David could be the middle name of Noah Clapp and he may have owned the property that Mountain Mike's was built on." The CGC Historian and Research Team started their search for Noah "David" Clapp at the Manteca Museum as well as the East Union Cemetery. At the Cemetery, we stumbled upon another mystery on Noah and Louisa Clapp's marker, Noah does not have an initial for his middle name.
We continued our research at the Manteca Museum where we found the location of the Clapp Home, and maps showing the property owned buy the Clapp family. The curator of the Manteca Museum referred us to a local historian, and author, that could have the answer. It turn's out, Noah was named after his grandfather Noah Clapp, and both did not have a middle name. So, here we go, back to square one, who's David?
Investigation Second:
Still not knowing who David is, we asked Jeff Liotard for another investigation. Due to the electronics that were left on in the back room, the distortion was too much for our sensitive equipment. We had no choice but to try again! We asked Jeff for two hours after closing, and this time everything gets shut off.
Electronic Voice Phenomena: Intelligent responses picked up by electronic devices as voices that are well below the range of human hearing in the infrasound region below 20Hz.
Investigation Third:
Since David has appeared to be reliable with his responses, I decided to test one of my theories that has to do with Dimensional State of Being. All that is needed to test this theory is two researchers, and two sets of identical questions. To view the results of our research "Click On" the link below.
How CGC tested for a Dimensional State of Being?
Don't Remember
During our second investigation we asked David for his last name. The answer we got was "Don't Remember!" Your born with your name, and carry it throughout life. I would think it's a physical part of you. So I asked, "HOW can something so ingrained into ones physical being be forgotten after death?" I had my suspicions, but I needed data to confirm my theory.

I posted this question on Facebook
"How often are you referred to by your last name?"
This is a question in Paranormal Research. We came across an entity that called himself Dave and David, but when we asked for his last name he responded "Don't Remember!" How can you not remember your last name, or your full name for that matter? Then again how often do we use our last name? Unless it's a formal introduction, job related, or official requirement? Since this is a male entity I was originally wanting to limit responses to males, but I'm also curious how the females would respond to the question.
I created this poll to find out how often we used our last name. The thought crossed my mind that we use our last name so infrequently during the course of our average daily lives, which may be the reason that David can't remember his. Our names, such as our middle and last, would be a part of our bio-physical selves. If we use those names so infrequently it would never be apart of the bio-electrical self. Our bio-physical selves wouldn't exist pass death, which would also support the parameters outlined in Conscious Energy Theory.
Conscious Energy Theory: The entity is nothing more than an electromagnetic pattern, a snapshot of our higher level consciousness at the point of death. So, therefore, it is not capable of learning beyond the time of its creation. It carries on as a remnant of a once-living human being. Since the pattern of your consciousness was created at the point of death, all you are or will ever be is contained in that pattern. Your existence is frozen in time. Regardless of how many decades pass, the entity will always exist in the last day in which it lived. CGC®
The physical being is gone, the only thing left is Conscious Energy, so if your last name is apart of your physical self it would not carry on past death.
This is an ongoing investigation, and following new leads take time. This site will be periodically updated with new information: more to come
