Orb Theory:
When the spirit is moving about, its shape is an orb with a contrail, but when it comes to rest, meaning that it is no longer in motion, the spirit energy that is compressed within the orb is released and this spirit energy expands into what we call Ecto-Vapor or Ectoplasm. Often an orb will contain more than one soul and when its spirit energy is released, multiple orbs flow forth from the single orb. The orb may be observed as a small white ball of light shooting through a room and through a wall. Orbs were first noticed in the early digital photographs. These grey or white circles, sometimes opaque but usually translucent, were never seen when the photo was taken. For this reason some people thought they were paranormal. It was quickly
realized, however, that they could be easily reproduced by blowing dust (or similar small particles) just in front of the lens when flash photographs are taken. Many paranormal researchers left it at that, assuming that all orbs were caused by dust. Others were not so sure as variations on the classic orb theme, like
colored or oddly shaped versions, began to appear. Then photos appeared that seemed to show orbs behind other objects in the picture. Some people claimed that orbs only appeared in particular places, such as haunted houses, or around particular people.
(ORB Theory) is not paranormal or supernatural. Research has shown that ORBs are optical anomalies cased buy fine particles of matter or stray light sources passing between focal point and the lens, or impacting, and or adhering to the lens. (Particles include dust, pollen, water particles, and insects)
Electromagnetic Field Theory: (EMF) is a force given off by electric charges, found in nearly everything in nature, both living and non-living or inanimate devices, emit an electromagnetic field. The higher the spikes in the electromagnetic field are, the more potential there is for paranormal activity. The theory is that a ghost or spirit gives off an electro magnetic field which can be detected by Electro Magnetic Field meters. A paranormal occurrence or ghost may give off milligauss readings in the range of 1.5mg to about 6mg depending on the EMF meter you use. If you get a paranormal reading, the reading should not be a steady. Steady/constant readings are usually artificially created. You may have to move around to see where the reading or ghost may be taking you.
Electronic Voice Phenomena Theory: (EVP) refers to voices that appear on recording devices (such as tape recorders) with no apparent source. The voices are often not understandable or audible without changing the speed of the playback. The phenomenon was first discovered by Swedish film producer Friedrich Juergenson while recording bird song in a forest for an upcoming movie. He heard two very faint but, audible voices while playing back the recording he had made through a reel to reel machine. The first was the voice of a man speaking of the bird song at night and the other was that of his mother calling him by his nickname and saying he was being watched over.
Poltergeist Theory: (Recurrent Spontaneous Psycho-kinesis) This theory states that psychokinetic energy may unconsciously leave the body of an emotionally charged person, usually an adolescent, an randomly do its damage. Simply put, its means that when some people get mad, usually kids going through puberty, they can do the mind-over-matter thing- they just don't realize that they're doing it.
Fear Cage Theory: An confined or localized area with unhealthily high levels of electromagnetic radiation due to the presence of a large amount of electrical devices, unshielded electrical cables, or power junctions. Individuals with a sensitivity to Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) can experience sensations of anxiety, paranoia, or nausea after prolonged exposure to these places report feelings of "being watched" the effect often gives rise to sincere but unsubstantiated claims of a haunting.
Cold Spot Theory: It is believed that an entity can draw the thermal energy out of the air in order to manifest itself there for creating the cold spot.
Imprinting Theory: (Haunted Objects) An entity can attach its energy to an item of a personal nature imprinting itself on a object, and objects travel. (Never take any souvenirs from a hunted house. You may end up with uninvited guests) ...see Residual Haunting
Soul Theory: Man was created in GOD's image, and was given an immortal soul. The soul is thought to be the eternal part of a living human being, commonly held to be separate from the body. Philosophical and religious beliefs teach that the soul is often believed to exit the body to live on after a person's death.
Telepathy Theory: A popular belief is that ghost may be able to communicate through telepathy, It's been suggested ghost prefer to communicate this way for it is easier for them. Some believe that this is how a ghost can move objects. Spirits might have a easier time communicating with us when we are in a unconscious state such as realm sleep and also be able to communicate and manifest itself to us. Ghost might be able to produce a image of themselves in our mind's eye to use as an aid in communicating with us that our senses fall for and mistake for physical reality. If true it would mean that an apparent hallucination or a walking dream could still be an authentic attempt at communication from the other side. In addition it would also explain why some ghost appear so substantive, even to the point where they can be touched and conversated with and why they can appear to one person in a group an not be seen by the others. This idea might also go far in explaining those meaningful an timely dreams we sometimes experience that seem to impact out life in a significant way. Of course, ghostly telepathy does not explain why we sometimes can catch a spirit on film or detected by instruments, nor does it explain how a ghost could manifest itself to two or more people at once. All tough it does appeal to the paranormal investigator in that it does explain some especially credible encounters for which there exists no physical evidence, as we; as opens another door by which a disembodied consciousness might be able to interact with its loved ones without manifesting itself. Although such a possibility could have a darker implications as well. Telepathy would go far in explaining alien abductions as well as its forerunner attacks capon woman by a night time apparition known as succubus that was commonly reported in Victorian times. How ever if ghost do communicate with us this way how come they do not interact with us more often and further why don't they appear regularly to everyone. We all sleep, we all dream, we all lost loved ones we might desire to keep in touch with. So then why is not reported more than it is? My thoughts on this is - It could also explain a possession of a person by an spirit or demon that is if it can control our thoughts and dreams it can also make us to do what ever it wants us to without even being in us. This theory also can not explain a residual haunt or impression. If it is telepathy the spirits use why would they keep doing the same thing as they were doing when they were still in human form, also how can a residual haunt do the exact same thing at the exact same time in the same place all the time. But then if it is residual it is not always seen by everyone. And if this is true why would we be able to see, hear or even feel a spirit around us. If it was telepathy we would not see it in front us it would be in our minds or dreams. All though there are flaws with this theory also it may very well be possible.
Dimensional Worlds Theory: We live in a three-dimensional world. Although we can conceive of three dimensions or less the one-dimensional line and the two-dimensional surface it is difficult for us to imagine dimensions higher than three. However, mathematicians conducting research into space claim to be able to “visualize” four-dimensional space, and four-dimensional space can cast three-dimensional image, or a shadow of itself. At present, we perceive a rich world it has color, people live in it, there is nature that extends out into space. However, if we consider this concept of “light and shadow” from a wider perspective, this world itself could be the “shadow” cast by some other great world. Early mathematicians perceived this as a possibility. The fourth dimension is the only other dimension that can cross through our three dimensional plan of existences. Four-dimensional space can cast a three-dimensional image, or a shadow of itself. The eye and a camera can perceive a three-dimensional image. The camera can capture that image, and renders it as a two-dimensional image such as a photograph, or on film.
Ionized Atmosphere Theory: Spirits draw energy from the air as well as electrical devices, electrical storms, thermal energy from animals and people. Using Ionizers would increase the amount of energy aids in spirit manifestation.
Quartz Theory: It is believed that Quartz and or Limestone can store energy like a crude recording device. Powerful events in history can be replayed over and over again, and is commonly excepted as the cause of residual haunting.
Water Theory: Running water can store an immense amount of kinetic energy. Salt Water is a very good conductor of electricity. Fresh water is also a conductor but not a very good one. An abundant energy source such as a body of water can lend itself intensify paranormal activity.
Strobe Theory: With the use of Infrared (IR), and or Ultraviolet (UV), or commonly used (Standard Light). A strobe basically slows down this rate of speed of an object so it can be easily capture by Photographic, and or Video equipment. Reported cases of shadow people, and other spirit activity that can move very fast. Now with the use of a strobe such paranormal activity can be more easily capture.
Full Moon Theory: (Full Moons, Thunder Storms, Solar Flares) The phases of the moon have an affect on the geomagnetic field. Most paranormal investigators believe that the geomagnetic fields are strongest at the full moon and the new moon phases causing paranormal activity to intensify. Under theory the best time to conduct a investigation is 2 to 3 days prior to a full or new moon or 2 to 3 days after a full or new moon. It is believed that ghost draw their energy through electrical resources. If you have ever been on a investigation before and you had all your equipment's batteries drain down to nothing this falls under this theory. During solar x-rays and geomagnetic storms the air is filled with electricity witch gives the spirits energy to draw off of. Now I'm not telling you to go out and do a investigation in a cemetery during a thunderstorm but if you ever get the chance to do an inside investigation during a thunderstorm it is said under theory that the results will prove to be more positive.
Infrared Light Theory: Many paranormal investigators believe that ghost can be seen in the infrared light spectrum. The light we see is known as white light. Infrared light is invisible to the human eye. Sony camera's and camcorder's with "night shot" and using a infrared filter allows us to take footage in the daylight hours in the infrared light spectrum. The infrared filter blocks out 99.9% of the suns ultraviolent rays leaving only the IR light spectrum to be observed.
Continuous Energy Theory: Soul Theory - II: A persons soul makes them the individual that they are. It is your energy source which powers the brain which then controls the body. Once the body dies your soul (energy) leaves the body and either goes to heaven or hell or it decides to stay earthbound. It maybe because they can't part with loved ones , have unfinished business , or they just can't except the fact that they have died. The energy of of person's soul never dies.

Maxwell's Theory: Although air molecules are invisible, they still have weight and take up space. There are 2.7 x 1019 (approximately 30,000,000,000,000,000,000) molecules in every cubic centimeter of air. When you compress air it heats up because the molecules in it are excited, and when you decompress air it cools down. If you were to take the heated compressed air and cool it before you decompress it, the decompression cooling will drop the temperature of the gas below its condensation point.
The process is as follows:

Decompressing air reduces its temperature by a known amount, so they cool the air to the point where decompressing it will lower its temperature to -183C (-297.4F), the condensation temperature of oxygen.
As the air molecules cool down it cause the surrounding air molecules to condense increasing its mass.
Sullivan Effect (Hypothesis):
The electromagnetic force which can in turn control the motion of the molecule. Through acting upon the orbital electrons in a molecule. By having corresponding electromagnetic fields intersecting in the direction of motion. ...bunches up and collides with the other air molecules. The air molecules become compressed. By repeating this process in rapid succession it may be possible to create enough mass to manipulate or move objects.
Conscious Energy Theory (Hypothesis):
If our consciousness can tether itself out from its host out of fear, as in the case studies of Celia Green that associated some kind of psychological stress, such as fear with an out of body experience. Then trauma could be the method to break that connection. Allowing our conscious energy to latch on and feed off of the physical energy from other sources like a parasite. Then using physical energy to move or influence objects.
4th Dimensional Consciousness Theory: Science has long since proven mathematically that our universe consists of 10 space-chel dimensions, and 1 time dimension (11 in all). We exists in only 3, and as a 3 dimensional being we cast a 2 dimensional shadow. Physicist have theorized 4th dimensional worlds existing outside our plain of comprehension. Paranormal theorist, theologians, and even some theoretical physicist believe that after our 3 dimensional shell has decayed what is left is conscious energy. We are comprised of matter and energy. Matter can change shape, but energy is eternal and can never be destroyed. If physicists are correct and 4th dimensional worlds exist. Then this could explain the existence of ghosts. As in Shadow Art we identify with the 2 dimensional shadow. So this leads me to theorize that we are just 3 dimensional shadows of our eternal consciousness, and that our eternal consciousness could pass from this 3rd dimensional world to the next (in most religions known as passing Over). If a 4th dimensional consciousness can casts 3 dimensional shadow could that be what we are observing as "GHOSTS"?
Dr Hans Holzer mentioned in an interview that he believed in a continuing existence in another dimension.
I believe your response has touched upon the same theory. I surmise that we are just shadows of our 4th dimensional consciousness.
